The Author
May Wilson, a French-Cameroonian writer born in Douala. She grew up immersed in books and graphic novels and later developed a passion for international relations.
Following a brief stint at UNESCO—where she put her interest in post-conflict social reconstruction into practice—, she worked closely with embassies and consulates.
Throughout this time, she never stopped writing or honing her craft through stories that explore the human soul. Discovering the work of Jonathan Hickman—whose themes resonated deeply with her—gave her the courage to bring a long-cherished project to life: a novel.
Since 2025, May has dedicated herself entirely to writing. She favors the thriller genre, creating narratives where characters confront their own limits and struggle to articulate difficult emotions, and where conflicting perspectives clash. She enjoys stories involving investigations and characters who are overwhelmed by events—often deeply scarred, yet somehow managing to move forward. Her characters inhabit murky worlds that are frequently on the brink of implosion.
She also writes poetry, a collection of which she has self-published on Amazon under the title *The Misadventures of Eros and Thanatos*.
